Building a Sustainable Life for Our New Dog

From the moment we got him, we knew Nipsey was different. He was fearless, and adventurous, and loved the outdoors. He was also very food motivated so we knew we could use that to our advantage while training him. We wanted to ensure that he was going to be eating the best food possible, since he loved eating so much of it!

But let's rewind to before we got him. During the COVID lockdown, we were doing a lot of outdoors activities with our senior dog and wanted to get him a companion to do things with. We searched for quite some time for the perfect furry friend and finally met Nip. Every weekend we were searching the pet adoption websites in the area. We like to be as sustainable as possible and knew that adopting was the way for us!

After getting him, we wanted to keep our eco-friendly habits going! We searched for recycled products for both his toys & beds. We also used biodegradable pet waste bags during our walks through Downtown LA & while on hikes. Lastly we looked for a sustainable food and found KARMA dog food. KARMA is a dog food made with plant-based superfoods and animal protein from real chicken or sustainably sourced white fish. It's also made in the USA with the finest ingredients from around the world, using non-GMO ingredients*, and the bag is recyclable through a partnership with TerraCycle! Most importantly, Nipsey loves the taste of the food. As soon as he sees the bag, his tail starts wagging.

We're always looking for ways to minimize our footprint on the environment. From going paperless for billing, to recycling and donating clothes, to community clean ups. Now we're so happy to have found a food that is healthy and delicious for our pups, and using sustainable practices. In addition to having a new plant-first dog food brand, KARMA will also be launching the Karma Kollective. An online community for green-minded pet parents to join and spread good karma by doing good deeds with their pets? Yes please!

You have to check out KARMA & the KARMA Kollective. It's such an amazing feeling to know that the whole family is participating in making the world a better place!
